TEEN CEO

I’ve been building brands since before I had my drivers license. This photo is from our local newspaper after winning the adorable title “Lake Washington School District Teen CEOs” for the t-shirt business I started with a friend out of my parent’s garage. Born of necessity, we taught ourselves to build websites, shoot product photos, send marketing emails, and write advertisements – all skills I still use today. We even learned to sew.

This formative experience developed a deep passion for helping build companies and brands.

For the past year, I’ve had the unbelievable opportunity to be a digital nomad and live in Copenhagen while my partner completes a one-year contract at a Danish architecture firm. It was a grueling process to secure a residence permit, but I managed to be one of only 75 people this year to be awarded the StartUp Denmark visa, which has allowed me to continue working with Kestra Medical Technologies and take up new freelance clients.


The additional hidden upside is I’ve spent the year immersed in a city that deeply cares about design. The architecture, fashion, furniture, iconography, and pastries are all beautiful. I’ve learned so much about precise, sustainable, and interactive design, and I am excited to take my new skills stateside.
